Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret sect.
The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
